Biomarkers
Biomarkers have been defined as quantifiable characteristics of biological processes. The perception and experience of physical health and wellbeing can be connected to those quantifiable Biomarkers, however may also be only indirectly connected to a human being's experience and perception of wellbeing.
There are several physiological and cognitive processes and expressions of the human body that may serve as biomarkers in identifying and classifying soft variables such as Inner Peace:
Here we will focus on the role of HRV and BD and their ability to serve as Biomarkers for Inner Peace, with the aid of quantitative indices such as Coherence Ratio and Pragmatic Information Indices, in the future other Biomarkers may be identified and researched.
We propose that Biomarkers can be used in monitoring progress in the attainment of inner peace and also can be used in identifying techniques, such as particular ways of breathing and meditation, that are appropriate to cultivate, develop and enhance positive and constructive states of being, like Inner Peace.
